Nothing here is decorative. Each of these tags exists because getting it wrong once produced a wrong answer — and every value carries the ones that apply to it.
Search it. Backed means at least one of that marker's values carries the document, page and printed line it came from. New means the marker did not exist in the record until the rebuild put it there.
